Team description

Each TechSprint team requires a balanced mix of participants to encourage breadth and depth in terms of the solutions. Throughout the TechSprint, we encourage and expect your own personalities to shine within your groups / teams. Diversity and variety of ideas and thought will bring out positive outcomes, we are therefore keen to see teams made up of:

  • Visionaries - thinking outside the box to design innovative solutions that challenge the status quo
  • Challengers - playing devil’s advocate to make sure all aspects are being considered
  • Thinkers – Those who listen and come to the table with productive ideas and proposals

When applying, we ask that you:

  • Complete the registration form, giving as much information as possible about relevant experience and initiatives in this space.
  • Share any datasets that you will be using for the TechSprint, and whether you will be able to source them.
  • Share any additional resources and expertise you may require across the two months so we can match you with the relevant experts.
  • Provide an overview of any problem statements and themes you will be covering on top of the ones listed above.
  • Confirm you are able to commit to the TechSprint Demo Day on Thurday, 30 May 2024 at the Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) - University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
  • Let us know if you have any additional requirements or adjustments to help you take part. TechSprints are inclusive events, and we aim to accommodate requests wherever possible.

Following the closure of the application period we will:

  • Review the applications and inform you shortly after the registration deadline closes on whether your application has been successful or not.
  • Provide full onboarding instructions for the TechSprint kick-off and bootcamp event.

We are committed to ensuring diversity at our TechSprints, so ask organisations who are nominating participants to please consider this when applying.
